What OrbiChat stores
We store the account information needed to run OrbiChat, including your profile, workspace settings, plan state, usage records, conversations, generated artifacts, uploads, and model/provider preferences.
We store model and feature settings so your workspace can remember the providers, modes, and context you choose inside the app.
How model requests work
When you send a prompt, OrbiChat routes the request to the model provider you choose, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, or image generation providers available in the app. The prompt, attachments, conversation context, and selected settings may be sent to that provider so the model can respond.
We do not collect or use your conversations, uploads, prompts, or outputs for model training. Where supported by upstream providers, we pass no-train or equivalent data-control signals with requests.
Payments and authentication
Authentication is handled through Clerk. Billing and subscription management may be handled by payment processors and subscription infrastructure connected to OrbiChat. Those providers receive the information required to authenticate you, prevent abuse, process payments, calculate taxes, and maintain records.
We do not store full payment card numbers on OrbiChat servers.
Product analytics and cookies
We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand product usage, reliability, conversion, and performance. The site may use cookies or local storage for authentication, theme preference, app state, abuse prevention, and billing flows.
You can control browser cookies through your browser settings, but blocking required cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, or saved app preferences from working correctly.
When we share information
We share information with infrastructure providers only where needed to operate OrbiChat: hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, billing, email, file storage, security, support, and AI model routing.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect OrbiChat and our users, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the product, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain backups.
You can request account or data deletion by contacting us. Some records may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, billing records, or legally required archives.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect account data, conversations, uploads, and billing state. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should avoid sending secrets or regulated data unless you are comfortable with the risks of using third-party AI providers.
If you believe your account has been exposed, contact us immediately and update your sign-in credentials.
Your choices
You can update account settings, change plans, and delete content from inside the app where those controls are available. You can also contact us for access, correction, export, or deletion requests.
Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights. We will handle valid requests in line with applicable law.
